  • 4th attempt at Pyrography

    Greetings all,
This is my 4th attempt at pyrography. The piece is 25cm long and 7 wide. Took about 3 hours to transfer the pattern to the wood and another 12-13 hours to burn the pattern in. Just have to steam bend it to shape now to fit the side of the guitar where it will be glued in place to cover a bad borer attack that I repaired. The bird is an New Zealand Morepork.

The pattern was made from a photo I took and i photoshoped it onto an old stump photo that I had to mess around with in photoshop to get it to the right dimensions to cover the defect area on the guitar.

Will post some photos of the finished artical in a week or two when I get the project finished.

    Cheers
    Glenn

Very difficult burning but you did an excellent job, Glenn. Well done and I'd use a bit more shading but that adds another layer of difficulty. You did great!

Good job, it will be interesting to see what steaming does to it.
