Hi,
I'm new to this website. I started up 2 hobbies (relatively at the same time): cottonwood bark carving and pyrography. I've been exploring pyrography for the past few years, learning as I go and have watched a few youtube videos. I have a website that showcases some of my creations but I think I've gone as far as I can go on my own. In order for me to grow in skill and techniques, I need to watch and learn from others. I've taken wood burning into what seems to be a rarely trod area. I like to make useful things, so I burn stuff onto tables, cutting boards, bedside tables, doors, canoe paddles, etc. I'm playing with spoons right now. I've also explored combining wood burning with color pencils but I'm not that thrilled about the results. I also wood carve cottonwood bark and combine woodburning with that aspect too. I'm hoping to learn from folks who are far better than me, as I see both of these as a long term hobbies. Thanks for allowing me to join you.
