Sea Turtle on Maple Burl

I have to thank Sue Walters for the inspiration on this one, her book was really very helpful. I couldn't quite master her technique for the shell so I did some research on line and found some examples of the shell that I thought I could come close to duplicating. The Maple burl really gives the piece the felling of being under water I think. I've put a link in to my Flickr album so you can see the steps if your interested.
