Hi everyone,

I'm Conrad Pinto, graphic artist from Goa, India.
I came across pyrography just a few weeks back, on the internet, and have been trying to acquire a woodburning tool ever since. Unfortunately woodburning tools are not available in India!

So here's my first attempt at pyrography with a 50 watt soldering iron.
My girlfriend Eveny helps with filling in the large areas and then I do the finishing. So half the credit goes to her.

The burning is very good considering the "tool" that was used....did you do the carving also?

No jax,
I didn't do any carving.
The pyrography is done on a sheet of veneer and a photograph (of a sculpture) is used as a reference image.

An artist works with the tools available. You appear to rise to the definition of an artist doing just that.

Hi, Conrad and Eveny! Welcome, glad you found us and decided to join. Thank you for sharing your adventure with us. Obviously you are both very talented artists. Look forward to seeing more of your pieces. Good luck with finding a burner but you are doing just fine with what you have. But would love to see what you do with an actual burner. Please keep us updated.

Hello Conrad and Eveny, You both are very talented. Your pyrography is amazing given what tool you chose to do it with. I'm not sure how much better you could have done with an actual wood burning tool.
