  • Fish Bowl

I turned a maple bowl from some 2" lumber I had from another project. The final dimensions are about 8" x 2". I decided to base the design on what I had in mind...all the fish that are going to die because of a local oil spill. This is dedicated to them. I named the thing "The Fish Bowl" ( I know, not very imaginative but the best I could come up with).

I feel for all of the fish and wildlife and folks along the gulf with the oil spill reeking havoc. The bowl is certainly a wonderful tribute to the devastation to come.
It is a lovely carving on the bowl. I enjoyed seeing it.

Jim, the fist are great .... but the heavy textured black burn in contrast to the absolutely smooth white maple bowl is outstanding !!!!! Your burning strengthens the work that you did turning that bowl.

Congrats on a great execution of combining two different crafts.
