    The burning was done on a 7x5 basswood plaque and will be hung on a wall.

      Very nice.
      It looks real enough to make me think of the real ones that I miss seeing in the winter. I'm impressed with how you made the grain of the wood work so well for you.

              Thanks to all.....I almost didn't post it as I thought I "bombed out" on the flower, ie,. too dark, I felt that it should have been more transparent.

                    I used a Feather Etcher burner unit with a large spade plug-in tip.

                    I mainly use it for burning feathers into decoys...and just recently tried pyrography.
