Re: What wood burner to buy?

I recently took a woodburning class at the Woodcarvers' Rendezvous in Creede, CO. There were many experienced people that had pretty much all of the big name units. I really couldn't see any major difference between them. They all did the same thing. Some people like one pen over another or one tip over another but I think even that was pretty much "I like mine because that's what I have and have gotten used to it." I bought a Nibsburner because they had a great show price and it was available. The class teacher used a Colwood but they were sold out... She used a Colwood tip she bent and adapted to her method, which I liked. So I bought the tip, the Colwood pen and an adapter so it could be used with the Nibsburner. Personally, I think the biggies are all No. 1

1, 2 and 3 in no particular order because I think you can't go wrong with any of the 3
NibsBurner, Razertip or Optima. Draw straws it makes making the choice easier
