              I think I agree with Dean, just looking at the photos got my sensory perception all out of whack. Great looking work though, bet she was pleased as all get out!

                The carving took a few hours spread over a few days. Thanks for your (and other's) compliments.

                Clarification: Looking back thru the old thread, my estimate was 10 to 12 hours spread over 3-1/2 days.

                            The flowers serve a practical purpose. The spiraling lines that form the triangles get very flat and distorted if extended to the rim. So I inserted the leaves and flowers in these areas. Also, the center would become a tangle of distorted triangles if the lines were extended inward.
