              Looks like you got some great instructors in these classes. Because you are doing great at them. I never have attempted classical carving although was asked to do some professionally which I turned down. Understanding this is a learned skill of precision.

                Yes Di, the instructors are great. They have a lot of patience and...they really can show 'how to...do; hold your chisels/gouges; move your hands/ body; and so on'

                  Yolli, I'm sure you will do very well! I love relief carving, it was the first carving I did in a novice class and although I've tried all types of carving it remains my favorite. Keep us up to date with your progress pictures.
