  • Christmas Plate

Chip carved Christmas Plate. 10" Basswood, natural, Deft finish.
I like this design because it reminds me of Christmas Bells. Inscription is German, Merry Christmas.
    As always, comments welcome.

I can't even make consistent chips, much less that ornate lettering. You Sir...have way to much talent, I think you doubled back in line and got my share as well....at least you are making good use of it. Wonderful plate, I like the simplicity of it...just wish my daughter was here to tell me what it says (she did a year in Germany as an exchange student).

Great plate - makes me sad that sometimes lasers or machines try to duplicate things like this but they are not the same - love the originals.

Lovely carving. Well done. The German lettering is a nice touch.

Thanks for all the kind words folks! I guess no one here speaks German, as it was pointed out to me last weekend that the first word is spelled wrong! Who knew? Goes to show you can't trust on-line translators! A friendly German lady pointed out that the word is either "Frohe" or "Frohliche". Anyone want a mispelled plate cheap?
                            LOL! Live and learn. . . .
