  • Mahogany Handle and Teak shank finished

Mahogany Handle and Teak shank, Tung oil finish.
The barrel on the base of the handle allows the cane to hang securely on the edge of a table. If you use a cane you know how it is always hard to find a secure place to put it where it is out of the way but you have ready access to it that is my solution.

Thanks everyone. I have been using it for a few days and I am realy pleased with it. Handle is working just like I hoped it would. The next one I do I think I will make the base on the handle a bit less noteble. blending it more into the handle.

What did you use to attach the handle to the cane? Dowel?

Hi OZprey, I used a 6 inch 5/16 threaded rod.

Cool. Did you have to tap the wood or use an insert?

Drilled an 5/16th hole 3 inches into the shank and in the base if the handle and use a 5min epoxy to secure them together.

Great. Thanks for the info. That should make for a very stout cane.
