I haven done very much carving in the past five months, I put this walking stick together last week, the topper is carved from basswood, painted with acrylics, sealed with matte poly varnish, the stick is a [piece of poplar that a beaver had cleaned the bark off, you can still see the teeth marks in the wood, I made a tenon on the stick and glued it to the topper, hope you like him.

Great carving, some of us get the help of our wife in the painting dept, you get the beavers to do part of your clean-up work , like the detail

Nice stick and a nice remembrance of your friend. What did you use for eyes?

                  Hi Sappy
I used some cheap glass eyes that were a bit to big for this schnauzer, thanks for dropping in

Good job Bruce!.... I may be in the market for something like that if my legs keep bothering me like they have lately.
