    Elephant found his stick.

This elephant topper has been waiting for this stick for about 8 months, a real nice swirled stick. I have just fitted them together. I will not attach them until the work on the stick is completed. It is going to be a theme stick. The elephant is the mascot for the University of Alabama’s football team. The stick will have the team colors above the swirl, with some decretive football theme carvings below the swirl. Hope to have it done by football season this year.

The elephant topper and swirled stick make a great combination. The finished project will be a unique piece of art...looking forward to seeing it.

I like that very much, even without paint.
When you have finished your vision, I suggest that you read another one:

The White Bone. Barbara Gowdy. 1999. It's an adult fiction, based upon elephant behavior.
Although Wikipedia will show you a cast of characters, you miss out on the "jaw-logs" and the "crazies." om the African scene.
Elephants are known to use seismic foot-stomping to communicate at low frequencies over 20-30 miles.
