IMG_0012.JPGIMG_0013.JPGIMG_0007.JPGIMG_0008.JPGIMG_0006.JPG 2"x 3 1/2 " x 5" , Basswood on Diamond Willow on Cherry Shaft. Had a nice 10 " piece of Diamond Willow left over from a piece that I cut for a Cane. Didn't know how it would turn out so gave it a try. The Contrast turned out to be different . The Basswood piece was the best piece I have ever had , it cut easy. I had 2 pieces of Scarp that I glued together ,I carved on the Corner but made my own Corner. , the Glued up Piece was a Rectangle , so took the Center of the narrow end and marked 1/8 " on each side of Center and drew 45 Degs. on each side . The 1/8 " in center was for the width of his Nose at the Brow. that eliminated removing Wood that you usually remove when carving on the Corner. Saved a lot of Wood . Don't know if I explained it good enough , if not ask and I'll try again .

There's no doubt your wife is right Merle. Bald is beautiful. The soft glow of a bald head in front of the fireplace is a comfort to my wife she always says. (That's cause she knows exactly where I am and what I'm doing no doubt!) Nice job here.
