Finished Man with a Braded Beard

Started this Guy the First of the year and finally got him off the to do List. Had some doubtful moments for awhile but he worked out OK. Oh! Basswood Top , Diamond Willow Insert , and Cherry Shaft. Merle IMG_0004.JPGIMG_0006.JPGIMG_0008.JPGIMG_0010.JPG

Hi Dwight , Good way to get rid of my Diamond Willow Odds and Ends. I did the same with the " Surprised Guy " and he became the Wifes favorite Stick and she took it. Thank You for your Encouraging Words . Merle

Amazing Merle, love the complete composition of this stick. The colors run together like it was done by nature. Love the look on the face as well. Amazing job... well done.

I've been "up north." No wi fi at my friend's cabin but no time for the internet anyway. Hard hunting in cold and snowy weather. No luck hunting deer but my friend scored a buck so I did bring home some venison and someone brought some elk steaks.

Hi Tom, The Nose wasn't the only Problem . I painted him a Light Brown and it was to dark and I hated it. I mixed some Paint an gave him another chance before the Scrap Pile. I have no idea what color it is but it seemed to work . Boy I came out smelling like a Rose. Ha,Ha. Thanks Bud for your Encouragement . Merle

Hi Kris, When I do other Cravings I always come back to Canes or Sticks because it Relaxes me and frees up my Imagination . Me do any more Sticks or Canes ? I'm Hooked and enjoy doing them . You get those Sticks finished and you'll see what I mean and maybe take a Hike. Ha,Ha. I always take all my Sticks for a Walk before I sell them or give them as Gifts. As I said before they are Addictive . Thank You for showing interest in my Stick. Looking forward in seeing your couple of Pieces. Merle
