Beautiful job Merle, that's a cane anyone would be proud to use.

I have no need for a cane but would walk around with that one for the sheer beauty.

                  Merle,

                  It turned out beautiful.

Made my think of my Grandfather’s saw. Not that it was beautifully carved but he’d used it for so many year his fingers had formed ridges in handle. Funny the things that trip old memories.

Wow Merle, How many kid and grandkids did you say you have. You know they are all going to want one. That has got to be my favorite of your collection.
                    Way to go.
If I took the time to fix all my mistakes, I wouldn,t have time to make new ones.

Hi Tom , the 2 Daughters really like it and that is as far as it will go . I started on the other one this afternoon out of Walnut . This will probably be the last one , unless I see something different that will fit into that Design . I've got another Eagle in the Wings from that Piece of Walnut Knot that I did the other Eagle in . My Barber and Son-n-Law supplied me with more Great Pieces of Wood to keep me busy for a long time , probably never use it all , but will try . Ha,Ha. Oh, my Barber opened to day so I'll be able to get his approval and get back to some Normality again. I set the Bar kinda high with this piece , so will see if I can repeat it in Walnut . Thank You my Friend for your always Kind and Friendly Words . Merle

Fantastic cane, Merle, and certainly one to be proud of and a great, great, heirloom. I agree cherry is beautiful...especially in your hands.
