        I am not sure Merle. I am trying to figure out what will work. So much decorative work on the baluster, then the leaves I am not sure where to go with the handle yet.

          I'm the same way Randy, any of the tools I have are fair game to use. I guess one thing about hardwood is that it does hold detail, which is starting to show on your baluster.
