    After about 6 months of starts and stops I finally finised th Baluster Cane! I am happy with the final product.

                    Thanks to everyone for the kind words. I have one more baluster it is oak With flutes on the sides ,no swirls. not sure yet but I am thinking I will do dogwood flowers on the top of it.

                            And you should be! The overall results are just a fine bit of carving. . . .You should probably not use it if you are in a hurry, too many people will be stopping you to look at your cane
