Cold outside, time to carve

81F here yesterday morning. 83F here this morning at 0730. Please send some of that cold weather a little further south.

You're fortunate, Eddy. We have been having freezing rain for a few hours in SE Louisiana. As you can see, Arthur (Baton Rouge) is frozen in, and Randy (Mobile) is getting hammered by the rain.

Very nice carvings both of them, At daylight it was 18 below zero here. I'm gonna stay inside and carve too.

Mobile will have about 15 hours of freezing temps in the next 24 hours. That is a bit cool for us. will wake up to a wind chill of about 9* in the morning. Raining here right now over a half inch in the last 45 min. l Talked to my dautgher in Fort Worth Wind chill -15. Another family member in Amarillo Texas said they are forcasting wind chills of up to -30 in the panhandle. We are alot better off than many of you.

Hate this freezing weather...that's why I live in the deep South! But that makes it prime gumbo time, and that's my specialty, so we'll survive as long as falling limbs don't knock out the electricity...and if that happens we'll pack up the dog and cat and decamp to one of our sons' houses...with facemasks firmly in place (and having had both of our vaccine shots). C'est la vie!

Arthur if you need some place to put the gumbo we will retun the bowl. Been very cold here. but nothing like central and north Texas. Have alot of family from Austin to Amarillo. They are all dealing with no heat cold food and frozen pies. Its a mess.
