I love the way you stain it ...to show the wood grain. That shows "Hey I am a tree, piece of wood." and it is carved. I always like less paint rather than more unless you're using a wood that has little grain lines. Beautiful job.

Darned good job for a speed effort. What about a bit of detail in the mustache and beard. Think it would add character just my 2 cents worth. I like it as it is.
