Thanks everyone, I tried to link from my facebook post on our Prescott Woodbee Carvers page. Sorry
I see Robeson Valley furnished you with the Fire Mountain link and I thank him. Love the different takes on this type of clamp. I have even been using my clamp while painting small objects. Handy Dandy little tool.

That is pretty cool! I have made similar clamps, bushcraft style, using them for tarp clips while camping. I really like this clamp!

I have one somewhere like the exploded drawing view. The exception is where that one has a wood wedge, mine has hinge. The bolt is what clamps the "vise" end together. It is made out of 1x2 maple, about 8 or 9 inches long and the "vise" clamp end has been rounded off like the ring clamp. The end with the hinge has been sanded a little to make it more comfortable to hold.

When I teach leathercraft, I tend to focus heavily on stitching. You can have the most perfectly formed and cut piece, with amazing tooling, but if your stitches are...

See if this comes any closer:

This wooden clamp holds rings and other jewelry-making objects for polishing or displaying. Wedge insert accommodates rings of different sizes. Made of hardwood, this jewelry clamp is 6 inches in overall length. Color of the wood handle may vary from that shown.
