      Hi, Steve. I think the most important thing to learn is how to obtain and maintain a good edge on your knife. Then, for these doodads especially, and probably for just about anything, make a full scale layout drawing before you make the first cut.

        Great things you have shown us in your video Hank.
        And yours pallin too.
        Whatching the video has encouraged me to try something like this on my own. Just some simple things like two Rings in each other out of one piece of wood. I'll show it when it's finished which may last a long time.
        There are so much things I want to do.
