    For the last year or so I've been using wood dyes to add colour to anything that needs it.
    The powered dyes are somewhat expensive BUT since they have no binders, they have an unlimited shelf life. They are easy to use and dry quickly but the best part is the colour.
    Coloured dyes have an unadultered, clean ,clear colour that is transparent enough to see wood grain. Also dyes are perfect for creating your own customized colour. Clean up is easy breezy.

    This isn't practical if you are using many colours. This is useful if you are wanting one or two colours allowing the grain show through.

    That's a pretty interesting video. I could have used some of that info earlier this summer when I was refinishing a gunstock. Thanks for posting it.
