    Here the wood for example....like Koa makes a major difference of where did it grow......makes a major impact on quality of wood. Most Koa today has no grain and rather ugly, it is often diseased and that also major effects the wood quality. So many factors, the health of soil, the outside weather environment rain and wind and even how much sun light effects a tree, also the micro environment it grows in. The fungus and bugs.....also effect the quality of wood in the tree. I get the wood that can not be used for top of the line furniture.....in those guys eyes that wood is fire wood.....to me it is often like white gold. Of coarse I do get my share of fire wood....LOL
