Shopsmith V with the drill press and lathe

Just got a great deal on a Shopsmith V $200. It has the drill, lathe, table saw and sander.

WOW...great deal and now you're prepared. Years ago a fellow I worked with had one and loved it. He showed it to me and I really liked it, especially the portability. Seems they were always just above by discretionary spending limits and even more so today.

It's a '79 520 with all the parts. There is also a bandsaw but I'm not getting that

That's cool that you bought it for that price. I am sure a new one today is north of $4,000 with all of the attachments. The hardest thing with the Shopsmith is finding a place to put it when you want to store it. They usually have a booth at the Kansas State Fair, and I wonder how many people plunk down money for down payments on one, and then immediately regret it when that thing lands on their driveway.
