I don’t use knives much in my carving but when I do 90% of the time it’s one of these. So being an online guy I started poking around and all I found was a violin luthier who owned one and like it. Well two years later I’m still curious so wondered if anyone knows about BK. The man the myth the knife maker with no internet presence.

Nebraska, I'm betting it's a Carver by the name of Bobby Thurman, he was a knife maker and from what I hear a very good tool sharpener from the midwest.Also a good caricature carver.Mark N. Akers

FWIW - I recently bought up the remains of a woodcarver who passed (RIP H. Whittman, St Louis).
It had a B.K. Thurman detail knife much like the one above. While I have proportional big hands...lol. I really like the knife and added it to my travel kit.
Excellent fit and finish!
