Thanks. I got the idea from Jeff Baily's Helvie signature knife. His is even sleeker. It's now my go to knife for roughing out and rough details. Things like eyes I use a detail knife. Thanks for the kind words.

Sorry. It was just to wedge the blade in the exact spot I wanted it when glueing it. The mortise in the wood was slightly bigger than the blade at the top.

Thickness at the back - a hair under 3/32nds.

Width in the middle right before it scoops down - 7/16ths. It's 1/16th thick at that point and continues to get thinner to the tip.

I just started making another one of these this morning out of thinner stock.
