Although this place is primarily a shop for log home builders, I know that Maurice has every gouge and set that Pfeil has ever made. Shipping boxes of everything. It's a warehouse bigger than many grocery stores. Never call before noon PST, he's a night owl.

Rick Wiebe sold his tool business:

If you want PacNW crooked knives, Jamie Sharp has good tools:

I've never asked Lee Valley to do or order anything special. Not yet, anyway.

I was going to say Rick Wiebe, but it looks like he no longer carries tools. Lee Valley carries some and if you talk to them, they will order any tool you want from their suppliers. I've ordered Henry Taylor from them in the past. They also carry Hirsch. They are very good to deal with. By that I mean I told them what I wanted, they ordered them with their quarterly order and then when they arrived they billed me, I paid and got them. I wasn't cash out of pocket for months before the tools arrived.

Is Chipping Away a good place? They sell Pheil tools and are North of the border with a favorable exchange rate for us in the US.

IMHO Ebay is one of the worst places to buy carving tools. I check their listings daily while eating breakfast and most things sell at retail or higher for used tools. If you are buying Pfeil Swiss Made tools look at suppliers in Canada, you will find that you can buy brand new tools for less than you can buy used tools on ebay. Sure, you may get lucky once in a great while on ebay, but what is your time worth?

Here are the correct numbers (not English names) for V-tools:
For the straight-shafted tools:
#12 = 60*
#13 = 90*
#14 = 55*
#15 = 45*
#16 = 35*
#17 & #22 winged V tools
If the design didn't require exactly 90 degrees, I'd use a straight knife on the line and come back to that cut with a pair of 1S/12 (1/2") skews.

Here are some suppliers. I have bought from all of them . And as Ed said E Bay can be a good source.

That's a 13/6 in London Pattern Book speak. Most top brands have open stock.
Google a few names Ashley Iles, Pfeil, Stubai, Narex, Two Cherries. See what you find.
In Canada, I dealt with several. I don't know if the exchange rate gives you any advantage.
