I received this photo from a friend and thought just to show all you in this great site what can be done with a hand saw.?? I could not do this to any of my old saws.

Interesting, but kind of a shame , those saws looked to have plenty of life left in them. The one on the right looks to be an old "Philadelphia Diston " one of the best hand saws ever made ( IMO)

I've seen something like that, but done with old shovels. I can imagine that shovel restoration isn't a top priority in the antique business. There's a tribe of people restoring and collecting old hand saws. Apparently, not the most economical of hobbies. I don't think that these ^^^ would look any better with paint.Brian T
