  • A woodcarver's recycling...

Just a spin-off from https://forum.woodcarvingillustrated...-tool-chest--I didn't want to hijack the thread.

Well you've both got me beat.

I've done cigar boxes, toolboxes, buckets, plastic storage boxes, rolling craft storage cart, and tool rolls.

I haven't found one that suited my purpose--something to take with me, carry a significant number of tools, easily accessible and flexible--I don't consistently put a tool back in the same place. Basically organized chaos in one place.

Also, I switch out tools--I still have the rolling cart in the shop to store the others for that purpose. I also have a rollup full of odds and ends of used large tools I've bought off eBay over the years.

So, what do I do with leftovers slated for recycling--specifically a tool tote, a cat litter box, coffee cans, and toilet paper tubes?
I let the pics speak for themselves.

BTW--besides being patient while snagging the parts for assembly--the only effort other than assembling was to cut off the bottom of the coffee cans with a utility knife so they would fit.

Ain't pretty but she works--for now. Who knows how long this

Nicely done, Bob, a creative approach to a problem. Looks great to me and far beyond my "attempts."

It's good that there are people who understand the importance of recycling.

You should contact companies engaged in disposing of this type of waste. Qualified specialists will help you with your problem. I got into the same situation last year. Therefore, I had to ask for help at https://www.dumpsterrentalslafayette.com/. Btw, the state has introduced a system of fines for untimely garbage waste disposal, as far as I know. It will significantly reduce environmental pollution in certain areas. However, I no longer believe that something can fix human carelessness.
