  • Timberwolf BandSaw Blade Source

Just wanted to let y'all know I had been made aware of a source for Timberwolf BandSaw blades. Timberwolf's site was down one day and I let them know. They said they were working on the issue but in the meantime I could order from PS Wood Machines. They gave me good service and the order came within the week.
    Thought I'd share.

Thanks for the info! I know you can also buy the standard sizes at Woodcraft.com.

I know everyone likes timber wolf blades. But my 1/4 blade has twice taken a bend in two different locations while doing relatively straight forward cut. Both times as I’m sawing I heard the blade develops a thump as it goes through the guide. I have been more pleased with the Olson blades I picked up.

It's been tough to find a 70 1/2 inch 3/16 4 tpi blade other than Timberwolf or the link above.

I'm giving them a shot based on recommendations here. My band saw came with a 5/16 6TPI and a 3/16 10TPI blades. The smaller blade didn't cut well.

I think the size my saw takes, 70 1/2 is somewhat of an odd size.

Mine, also. My 9 inch Craftsman takes a 59.5 inch, and I've always had to go direct to Suffolk Machinery to get one. I usually get the 3/16 inch 4 TPI blades, and they cut great.

I can "second" Suffolk Machine. They have many choices of pitches and can cut to any size. Just know your saws specs. and then your needs. Great service and advice.

Ed, how do the Olson blades compare in price?

I have been using Tuff Tooth blades for years.

                    Very satisfied.
