  • I know where I can get all of the used hoof trimmers I need. There is a large Amish community in Holmes County, Ohio, a pleasant two-hour drive from Pittsburgh. It has more Amish than Lancaster, PA. I know of a few blacksmithing supply/farrier shops there that sell the used ones for a few dollars each....

  • Very nice work. I know that some gunsmiths will use a little soot from a small candle to mark the action so when you are fitting it, you can see the soot marks showing where the wood needs to be removed. It may be worth a try if you do another one. I have watched a gunsmith and friend of the family...
