  • Lots of information on this subject if you do a Google search. It is used both ways bevel up and down, depending on what you are doing with it and how the blade lines up with the handles. I have used it bevel down for shaping a concave surface.

  • I have flex shafts and my hands cramped. So I invested in a Rampower 45 it was much easier on my hands. plus it is reversible. I do mostly small detail work.

    Fiskare Why do you say stay away from the Vortex F5?

    I love all types of woodworking,Scrolling being at the top I do a fair amount of detail carving on my intarsia work. I also enjoy turning.
