Those images are not wood..they are .stl files ( some 3D printed, some not ) "mocked up" to sort off ( if you look sideways at them ) look like wood. Not "laser" at all, they say that they can be used for CNC ( implying that a CNC machine could make them from wood ) , but natural...

Something simple that works=Linux Mint..give it a "test run" on a "live" thumb drive.If you like it , you can permanently install it alongside windows, ( follow the prompts ) it and windows will be perfectly happy, just as long as the windows ( whatever version) is installed first...

The expensive carving benches and vice tools are far less important than the talent and practice.I refer you to Grinling Gibbons https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grinling_Gibbons , back in the time when most sculptors made their own benches.

Buggy....many threads ( this one included, ) are missing the "flag it" option ( to the right hand side of the "quote" option ) ..Which is going to make it hard to signal spammers to mods / admins if the threads without the "flag it" options get undesirable posts.
