I got up this morning around 6- cloudy, no snow on the ground, temp below freezing. by 9 am we have arouond 2" of snow on the ground. they say around noon the temp will rise through freezing and we will have 'wintry mix'- for those of you unfamiliar with that term, it means yucky, just stay indoors....

Prepare your quench- I use a brine solution- One cup of ordinary table salt in a gallon of water. I have read that it has properties nearly the equivalent of oil and it doesn't smoke or burn and stink up the house. I have used this quench for dozens of knives, and I can tell you for sure it works....
