I believe the advantage of the 50 mm knife shown in the photo would be the ability to use it one-handed because of the size. I hope a member of this forum can provide more information about this knife....

Claude...thanks for the reply. These are not my tools. I hoped to learn more about this roughout knife and if anyone has used one or if they are available. My circus draft horses are carved in 1/12 or 1" to the foot scale. I tried using a Fordem for roughing out but that is too noisy and dusty...

Roughout Knife
Good morning. I found this image today of a suggested kit for carving miniatures. Please see the 50 mm roughout knife shown in the image. Has anyone used a similar knife and are they available? I can't determine from the image if the knife is sharpened on the long side only or on the "skew"...

Well, I dug deeper and I believe I found my answer. Falls Run tools were the original name of Flexcut tools. The tools seem thinner than current Flexcut tools and more flexible? What else can I learn about these tools?

Falls Run Palm Tools
Good evening. I acquired several palm tools marked "Falls Run." They are strangely similar to Flexcut palm tools. Is there a connection?
