I was seriously deprived. Never had a BB gun because "you'll shoot your eye out". All my buddies had BB guns and still had both eyes. Unfairly deprived, I tell ya'.

ps - my wife tells me that one of her grade school classmates actually did put his eye out with a BB gun. I suspect...

I had a well seasoned chunk of camphor wood a few years ago. It still had that odor, but really faint except on fresh cuts. At first I enjoyed carving it but quickly discovered that it was relatively weak with the grain - kinda splitty and breaky....

I didn't know crochet had hooks. We always used wickets. Made of wire. Now the balls and mallets were wood. But basswood wouldn't do for them either.

You'd think they would also worry about levitating coyotes crashing to the ground when they realize they can't levitate. A hundred pound coyote falling a couple hundred feet really hurts if it falls on you. They can be a hazard to aircraft, too.
