Thank you for the kind words and suggestions. The low part of the handle is 1.5 inches wide and the curve is 1.25 inches wide....

Had a buddy talking about how his dad needed a new cane and thought I would try my hand at it. I have carved some walking sticks in the past but never a cane. I wanted it to be sturdy so I started with an inch and a quarter oak dowel. Had some scrap what I believe is cherry laying around and some scrap...

My son likes little characters so I thought I would carve him a little bear. I found some wood while out duck hunting that worked out. It’s always fun to carve stuff for the kids.
