While I seem to be functional, let me add a pic or two of the most recent carving, a male brook trout with his fall color on. I carve most of my fish from Jelutong anymore except for the fins. The fins seem to carve better (and feel better) when I use Tupelo. He is painted with all sorts of things...

This is not my normal type of carving, but I like to do something different from time to time. One of my grand sons is in a fraternity up at Oregon State Univ. Their emblem is a lion\\\'s head. So, this relief carving will reside at their house in Corvallis, OR. The frame is old barn wood. I like...

Not really a pro, but I do keep on \\\"practicing\\\". Sorry to be so slow in responding to your question Old MM, but I had to go commune with some brown trout on the Owyhee. Scales are all done with burning tips that I make.

Well, I see both images of the shrike in preview mode. I followed your direction on this RV and it looks good. I am going to hit the submit button and see what happens.
