Re: The Maestro
Looks pretty high brow in my view Don't know if he could handle a tune like Louis Armstrong could or not. Good job on the carving and paint.

Re: Woodcarving Collection
I try. Nothing compared to your Dad's work, he was exceptional. Glad to hear you are keeping the store open. It's really a neat place to visit.

Re: Woodcarving Collection
Does your family still have your father's carving store open on 76 hwy?
Always have to stop in when I'm in Branson to look at the carvings and all the other goods.

Re: Two Heads Better Than One?
Neat photos, Paul. The thing that bothers me is she looks like she might still be a little hungry the way she's looking up at the cameraman. Be careful when you go out at night.

Re: Whittling pencils ???
Yes I've carved a few. They are quick carves and kids love them. I have a friend who carves pencils and gives them to kids at carving shows, local street fairs, etc. He carves mostly Santa faces and wood spirits.

Re: Chicken Whisperer more pics
If you ever have access to a live chicken, you can massage its stomach and it will more or less hypnotize (sp?) it. Used to do it all the time to my Grandparent's chickens. I know, I know, I'll go back to my room now. Don't know where I learned that...

Re: All but for one thing!!
Better close it then cause I don't see much of anywhere else it can go. Just IMO. Don't have anything else to add.

Re: Schooner on the Grand Banks
Bob,
You carve the best "waves and seas" of anyone who does water scenes. I've often thought I'd like to try some of the types of carving you do but just haven't worked up the courage to try. Your water scenes are super. Thanks for posting....

Re: Pickin' & a Grinnin'
Looks like Roy Clark on Hee Haw, when he was younger and slimmer. Now all you need is one for Buck Owens and Buck Trent.

Re: Complaints about my leadership
Bob,
The person that really counts is the guy who signs your paycheck, and more than anything else is your family. You have your game plan working perfectly, so don't pay attention to anything else but that. I don't think the boss would appreciate...

Re: A pricing question?
Do it just as you mentioned in the post above. He is the one wanting the work done, you are the one doing the job. If he wants them each done by hand, price them accordingly. Just my 2 cents worth. (May be the reason I don't get a lot of carving requests):...

Re: Day of reproducing spirits
If I were buying, they would have to be hand carved, for those prices. No offense, it's just that I don't care for poured castings. There are too many on the market now messing everyone up.
