Re: Oct 31, How many Ghosts and Ghouls in Your Neighbourhood
We had 175 kids. Unbelievable. Lots of cute kids in cool costumes. Couldn\'t believe how many of the young parents were in costume and how elaborate they were. We were in Billings in an area where a lot of young people live....

Re: \"Car tires on a gravel road\"
Excellent carving Mike! This one will get a ribbon. Its not just \"southern\" hospitality. Same thing happens in Wyoming.

Checking out some of the pics and came across a couple of old friends in the pictures. How cool. Looks like a lot of learning going on. Lar

Re: Bulldog
He looks great Mike. Do you make a pattern on a piece like this (single view or 2 sided view) or just use a piece of wood the appropriate size and start whittling? I like the way you did the fur. It looks just like I would expect it to look. Good job! Lar

Great looking stools. Heirlooms. Bet the kids will be thrilled. Is there a template to drill the holes in the seat or do you just eye ball the angle?? Lar

Re: Walter-Chris Hammack Bar Fly
Looks very good Deb. The beer looks a little too close to him or under his chin in the post. Its probably part of the roughout. It just looks like it should be separated from the character more. Great job. Lar

Re: Off the shelf
Super carving. Would you be willing to share more on how you make the bumps with bondo? That could have a lot of application for other carvings as well. It seems fish carvers use a lot of methods that are not typical of caricature carving. Just saying.
