The Narwhal family is complete!
The narwhals are finally done. It took me a while to figure out how to airbrush the desired result. It represents my family. Me, my wife and my son. It took a while but I'm very happy with the end result.You do not have permission to view this gallery.

Narwhal carving process
This week i started a Narwhal carving.
The wood i use is lime wood.
I use a dremel as a powercarving tool.
To cut and put the rough shape i use a bandsaw.
I enlarged a picture from a book to the right size i wanted. From end to end is is 30cm long.

Spermwhale sculpture from 2015
I just post something from the old days. This sculpture of a sperm whale is the third I have ever made (I have now made four whale sculptures so far) The sperm whale I made in 2015. The first two were orca sculptures, which I will post again one day. The fourth is from a fin whale, which I have already...You do not have permission to view this gallery.

Back to Carving
After taking a few months away from carving to get the yeard and outside of the house in shape, I started to carve again in mid-June. I finished the patriotic folk art whale, based on the WCI Blog post Vernon Depauw, for Independence Day. I painted it with professional artist acrylics.
